Mineral Wells, TX – The Bethesda Men's Basketball team took a 58-52 win over Community Christian in the championship game of the Mineral Wells Community Christian Tournament on Saturday, December 3. With this championship win, the Lions continue their undefeated season, including three straight wins in the tournament. The Lions now sit at 11-0 on the season after winning back-to-back tournament championships.
In the opening round of the Mineral Wells CC Tournament, the men took an 86-36 win over Victory Baptist and followed with a 66-32 win over Nazarene Christian, a district opponent, in the semifinal game. Bethesda's
Kevin Thornton took home Tournament MVP, and the Lions placed three on the All-Tournament team including:
Cason Clagg,
Jaxson Campbell, and
Kevin Thornton.
The Men's Basketball team will look to continue their undefeated season as they face Weatherford Express on Tuesday, December 6, at 7:30 in the Bethesda Lions Gym. They will then begin the Mesquite Pit Classic in Poolville, Texas, on Thursday, December 8. You can check out the Lions' schedule
