Fort Worth, TX – The Bethesda Varsity Men's Basketball team will play a district championship tiebreaker on Saturday, February 11, against Christian Life Prep at 7:30 at Mercy Culture Prep. The Lions secured the first-place tie after a 3-0 week, defeating Ovilla Christian, Sacred Heart, and Mercy Culture. Bethesda and Christian Life Prep ended the district season at 9-3 overall, forcing them to a tiebreaker.
The Lions and Knights each took a game from each other during the district season. In the first matchup, Bethesda defeated Christian Life Prep 57-45 in a pressure filled battle at home. In the second matchup of the season, Christian Life Prep took a 55-52 win over Bethesda at the CLPS Gym when they hit a game-winning three pointer with just thirteen seconds remaining.
Both teams have already secured a spot in the TAPPS Area Playoffs, but they will battle for the top spot in the district on Saturday, February 11, at 7:30 at Mercy Culture Prep.
