The Lions Middle and High School Track Teams competed at the Liberty Christian Invitational. Here are some results from the meet.

?? Team Highlights

• Boys placed 6th out of 17 schools — with only 7 athletes competing!

• Girls placed 5th with just 2 athletes, but due to a scoring error (Amanda winning the 100 Hurdles), the team should have placed 3rd overall. Incredible performance from a two-girl squad!

• Atticus Giere – 2nd in the 800m (2:09.18) & 2nd in the 1600m (5:07.69)

• Boden Curtis – 3rd in the 1600m (5:12.24) & 5th in the 3200m (11:20)

• Chase Goodman – 4th in the 1600m (5:14.03) & 4th in the 3200m (11:02)

• Jacob Helge – ?? 1st in Shot Put (42-02.5) & 3rd in Discus (96-05)

• Strong mid-distance and distance group with multiple podium finishes

Amanda Bergstrom dominated:

Braelyn Brunson dominated middle distances:

With extremely small rosters:

• The boys were highly competitive in distance and throws.

• The girls nearly placed top 3 with only two athletes — winning 7 total events.
